Promenade

Day 166 – June 15, 2018

Cataract – Ragtag Daily Prompt / Aqua Color & Reflections – City Sonnet / Under a Bridge – Witsendchallenge

I am participating in two new challenges today!  I am really excited too because both are photography focused.  Not that I don’t mind the others, I really don’t, I just find the photo challenges a little more difficult because there are so many photos out there capturing the same prompt.  It kind of forces me to think outside the box.  Which doesn’t really catch me off guard since I think I live there (outside the box) anyway 😬 A couple of days ago I posted a photo that featured the other side of the bridge I am standing on.  Tonight, as I was walking to Sky Stage for one last show, I happened to stop, as something caught my eye, and decided to take a couple of frames.  And since I believe I may have exhausted the venue, I felt it was time for a change of pace. That and I really like this photo.  I am a sucker for water and reflections, so that was a no brainer, but as I look at it more I see so many more elements that pull everything together.  For me at least.  There are definitely hints of the aqua color (that was totally unintentional) and I feel I caught the under the bridge without actually being under the bridge (thanks reflection) and I am glad that there wasn’t a heavy downpour to create cataracts as I think the peacefulness of the scene would have been compromised.  For those of you who have been following the last few days adventures, you will be happy to know that we ended on a high note.  We had a very good audience and there weren’t nearly the amount of distractions.  I felt good about it.  I now get a couple of weeks until part 2 of the series happens in July.
