Day 61 – March 2, 2018

I kind of wish I had todays word prompt any of the days last week.  Ironic how most of my blogs would have fit into the theme.  We were in that location of the “bombogenesis”, or Riley the cyclone, and felt the full range of effects of the nor’easter.  While the snow and rain and ice did not add up to much, the wind was a non-stop roar that maintained 30 mph wind speed with gusts up to 65 mph according to my weather station.  Up on the hills, buried in some trees, my house was very exposed to limbs, trees, and anything else that might fall from a good height. I took a few photos trying to capture the effect the wind had on the trees and the number of limbs that somehow found resting spots none of which included the roof of the house.  I posted a couple of those pics below, both of which could have easily symbolized “above.” Instead you get Gracie, our golden.  Gracie is, by all accounts, in an ideal location to protect herself from anything that might strike her from above. The example of which I ended up following.  It was a very crazy day today, but you would never know it by looking at her.  Besides in just a very sweet photo of the dog.  Stay safe and keep warm! Especially those of you who are receiving the full brunt of  Riley!

Here are the attempts I made at capturing Riley:
