CV Day 363

Apple Fields Forever

As I wind down to the last couple of days with this project, the subjects become more and more difficult to choose.  Todays subject is something that is very common to our area and this is of course, our Apple orchards.  There are acres and acres of orchards that surround us.  They ride along the peaks and valleys of our hilly terrain, reside on sides of mountains and on tops of ridges.  Of course, with Knouse foods close by (makers of Musselmans) it is easy to see why there are so many of them.  I am rather surprised I hadn’t got a good shot of them before today, but oh well, better late than never.  You can also see the coating of snow clinging to the branches, from a system that surprisingly cut through our area today.  December 29, 2011
